The noontime show sure knows how to handle competition. Remember how they came up with “That’s My Tambay,” their answer to the popular It’s Showtime! segment called “That’s My Tomboy”? Now they’ve come up with another interesting and entertaining segment, “You’re My Foreignoy,” featuring foreigners (good-looking, of course) doing challenges that involve Tagalog words and phrases. 2. ANDI EIGENMANN SAYS DAUGHTER DOES NOT HAVE A FATHER YET

3. REGINE VELASQUEZ TALKS ABOUT LAST MOMENTS WITH MANG GERRY

The Songbird’s dad, Mang Gerry (Gerardo Velasquez), passed away last Monday, due to a cardiac arrest, and Regine shared with “Buzz ng Bayan” how the day before, her father already didn’t look well. “He looked pale and parang yellowish siya, very unusual. He was in pain but ino-observe lang siya ng mga doctors. Nung 11pm, my mother decided to rush him to the hospital,” she said. Regine revealed that last year, when Mang Gerry got operated on and was recuperating, he had pneumonia several times and they thought that they were going to lose him. “I was not ready.”

4. HEART EVANGELISTA AND CHIZ ESCUDERO TO WED THIS 2014?

Looks like it. Last Sunday in StarTalk, host Lolit Solis asked Heart if this year’s going to be her last Valentine’s Day as a single woman, and she said yes. She even looked at her boyfriend, Senator Chiz Escudero, and said, “I’m very confident. Babe, very confident.” Heart also clarified that they don’t live in one house; they just live in the same village. She also shared that Chiz’s gift for her this Valentine’s is a trip to Hong Kong. 5. KARYLLE AND YAEL YUZON ARE GETTING MARRIED THIS MARCH

Congrats to the lovebirds! They never really confirmed that they are an item, but Karylle’s announcement in It’s Showtime! last Saturday was that and more. Karylle announced they’re going to get married this March, and that they’ve been together for three and a half years already. “I started as a hurado here in Showtime and I became part of the Showtime family,” she said. “At kakambal po nito, dumating si Yael sa buhay ko.”
