1. DEREK AND CRISTINE NEED SPACE – FROM EACH OTHER
Hunky Derek Ramsay didn’t want to talk about his split with Cristine reyes, but he didn’t have a choice during the TV5 trade launch last Oct. 2 in NBC Tent at The Fort. “We’re fine,” he told Pep.ph. “With regards to the movie that we are doing, we’re going to be professional about that. There are so many speculations, but I would not talk about what people are saying. That is their opinion.” He shared that they are actually going to Hawaii for a show because that had been scheduled a long time ago, and since it’s for work, they are professional about it. Derek also clarified that they “are giving each other space.” He said, “We have decided to end the relationship, and I’m going to be very private about it.”
2. ANGEL LOCSIN TO PLAY DARNA AGAIN

Everyone’s curious about who’s going to portray the superheroine now that the rights to the Mars Ravelo creation have been acquired by ABS-CBN. After all the speculations, Star Cinema managing director Malou Santos has confirmed that it is Angel Locsin, who first portrayed the character in a TV show on GMA back in 2005. However, Angel won’t be donning the Darna costume for TV; she’ll do it for a movie. Malou Santos shared that they want to highlight special effects in the new Darna movie and to show how Darna is in the modern times.

There’s no stopping Richard Yap aka Ser Chief of Be Careful With My Heart fame. After proving he can act, he’s bagging a lot of endorsement deals. And now he’s a singer, too. The 46-year-old once dreamed of being a lounge singer, actually, so having an album is a dream come true for him. He was also part of his high school chorale, and even had his own rock band back in college. He just released an album containing 11 covers, with the lead single “Don’t Know What To Do, Don’t Know What To Say.” His fave among all the tracks in the album? He told Ricky Lo of philstar.net that it is “High” by Lighthouse Family because he feels “high on everything happening now, high for all the blessings.”
4. ELLONA SANTIAGO JOINS DEMI LOVATO’S FINAL 4
The 17-year old Fil-Am almost didn’t make it to the next round of The X Factor USA when, after singing Zedd’s “Clarity,” in the show’s new round called The Four Chair Challenge (which is like Trip to Jerusalem), her mentor Demii Lovato said, “I feel like that star quality isn’t there yet.” The other judges, however, were very impressed with Ellona. Kelly Rowland said that she is “a beast” while Simon Cowell exclaimed, “I can’t imagine you actually not being in this competition.” Demi eventually decided to include Ellona in her Final Four. Yay!

Remember Robin Padilla’s Instagram post showing a digitally-altered photo of Senate President Frnalin Drilon? Robin’s wife Mariel Rodriguez reposted the photo, which expectedly attracted some hate comments. She defended herself by telling the TV5 show Aksyon: “May mga ibang tao, nag–re-react. It was so rude daw to post. Rude talaga? Eh sabi ko sorry for being rude. Rude din naman yung ginagawa… nagbabayad tayo ng buwis tapos… di ba? Nagkakalabasan na.”
