1. CHARICE SAYS SHE DID NOT ATTEMPT SUICIDE
The singer has released an official statement refuting the claims of her maternal grandmother that she tried to take her own life because of financial problems. In the statement she explained that she loves her life especially now that she has come out of the closet. She also shared that she has savings, and that she continues to work because she loves her family. “Patuloy pa rin po akong nag-iipon dahil kaligayahan ko na po ang paligayahin ang Mommy at ang kapatid kong is Carl.”

We love how humble Regine Velasquez is! Remember her duet with Alicia Keys during her Manila concert recently? The Songbird shared with Pep.ph that they should have called Jaya or Kyla instead because she’s not really into R&B. “I’m a balladeer, so parang hiyang-hiya ako,” she said. 3. PHIL STILL IN LOVE WITH ANGEL

Phil Younghusband and Angel Locsin may no longer be together as a couple but Phil told Pep.ph that some things haven’t changed. “I’m still in love with Angel,” he said. “So Angel is the only one I’m thinking about on my lonesome.” Asked if he’s pursuing her again, the footballer replied, “Uhm, who knows in the future? But right now, we’re clear that there’s a mutual understanding, mutual agreement that it’s better for us to part ways. Phil also clarified that the rumor linking him to KC Concepcion is not true. He said he met her just once — when he and Angel appeared on KC’s show The Buzz. “I’ve never tweeted, I’ve never texted KC, I’ve never called KC.”
4. JESSY MENDIOLA WILL WORK THIS CHRISTMAS

Jessy may be single but she won’t have the time to think about that this holiday season because she’ll be busy with work. In fact, ABS-CBN News reports that she will be taping for her show Maria Mercedes even on Christmas Day itself. However, the show is reportedly not doing well. Fashionpulis recently wrote about how the show is not doing well in the ratings game, which is most probably why they resorted to gimmicks like that viral McDo video with the Teng brothers. We’ll find out whether that strategy works or not.

5. POKWANG DOESN’T MIND BEING SECOND CHOICE

In a recent press con, Pokwang said that during difficult times, “you can’t afford to be choosy.” This is exactly why she didn’t mind being the replacement of Sharon Cuneta for the Call Center Girl movie, which is all about Tessa, an overseas Filipino worker who ends up back in the Philippines and with no choice but to get a job at a call center. The role was meant for Sharon, but then the Megastar moved to TV5. Pokwang believes that it’s okay to be the second choice or the replacement “as long as the project is good” and that it “will help improve my career.”
