It’s confirmed: Dong remains a Kapuso after he signed a five-year contract with GMA Network, Inc. last Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Manila Polo Club. The talented actor has been with the station for 15 years and it’s sweet how he explained that GMA was with him when he started to dream, when he didn’t know the direction his life was taking, and when he failed. “They were always there to help me fulfil my dreams,” he said. “That support is beyond just being a company, a network, and just a house that holds my talent, but a home. I consider this my home where my heart truly belongs.”
Awww. Dong is currently taping for his new show called Genesis, which will premiere this Oct. 7.

The Hollywood star, who was in the country last May for the Asian premiere of his flick Fast & Furious 6, is coming back, this time to shoot a new movie called XXX: The Return of Xander Cage. Vin told The Philippine Star columnist Ricky Lo that when he was in the Philippines, he knew he was going back some other time. “Every minute I was [in the Philippines] I saw so much beauty. You know why? Because whether you are a star or a street vendor, you are embraced with warmth and hospitality. The people’s smile was genuine,” said Vin, who wants to go check out the beaches when he returns to the Philippines.
See you soon, Vin!

Carla’s on a roll! The star of My Husband’s Lover isn’t just having a grand time as an actress (MHL continues to get great ratings and feedback AND she’s getting ready for a movie with MHL co-star Tom Rodriguez), she’s also growing as an artist with her inking of a recording contract with Universal Records last month. Not a lot of people know about this but she surprised everyone by singing her first single, a cover of Toni Daya’s “Kung Alam Mo Lang,” on Sunday All Stars yesterday.
