Senator Nancy Binay slams Pinoy Big Brother’s ‘nude painting’ challenge

There’s nudity involved in this issue.

“Senator Nancy Binay is set to file a resolution calling on the Senate to investigate the alleged ‘morality and decency’ issues surrounding the ABS-CBN’s reality show Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) where a contestant was supposedly given a challenge to pose nude,’ reports Hannah Torregoza in Manila Bulletin.

Binay also urged the Movie, Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) to look into possible ethical breach committed by the PBB: All In Edition in its June 4 episode where the Big Brother challenged 23-year-old female housemate Jayme Jalandon to pose nude for a painting-for-charity despite her religious beliefs and values.

Jalandoni is described as “a nurse and a devout Christian.”

Binay was quoted as saying, “This might be a reality show but its contestants, especially its female housemates, should be accorded with respect without compromising their dignity and their rights as women.”
