SB19’s music launch postponed after members exposed to COVID-positive person

Filipino boyband SB19 has postponed its virtual music launch for the single “What?” after its members were exposed to a COVID-positive person.

A statement released by the group today said that the boys are now in quarantine after coming into contact with the COVID patient. Their virtual music launch for the song was originally scheduled at 7:30pm today Manila time.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. A new event date will be announced soon,” the statement said.

SB19’s management said that the digital single, music video, and merchandise “will still be released as scheduled.”

Composed of Josh, Justin, Ken, Pablo (formerly known as Sejun), and Stell, SB19 is the first Filipino group to make it to Billboard’s Next Big Sound chart. A few of their hits are “Go Up” and “Alab” (“Fire”). Their fans, called A’TIN (“eighteen”), are extremely active on social media, where they often express the desire for the group to make it on the world stage.
