Congrats to the son of the late Dolphy Quizon for winning the El Ray Award for Excellence in Acting in a Lead Role at the recent 2014 Barcelona International Film Festival. His win is for the Mikhail Red movie Rekorder, where he plays a former film cameraman who ends up recording a robbery that becomes a hit online.
So how does he feel about the win?
“DANG! Ang sarap pakinggan… ang hirap paniwalaan… Thank you so much for this wonderful news and for the messages of praise, kudos and support! Mabuhay ang Pinoy!” he posted on Facebook.
Last February, Rekorder won the Special Jury Prize and Best Music awards at the Annonay International Film Festival in France. It also won Best Production Design in the New Breed category when it competed in the 2013 Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival.
