Robin Padilla took to social media to express his relief that his nephew Mark Anthony Fernandez was not killed when he was busted marijuana possession on Mon, Oct 3.
In a Facebook post on Wed, Oct 5, Robin wrote that Mark’s dad, the late Rudy Fernandez, would not forgive them if something bad had happened to his son. Rudy was Robin’s cousin.

Robin likewise thanked PNP Chielf Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa for handling Mark’s case properly.
Robin’s full statement reads: “Purihin ang Panginoong Maylikha mahal kong Pamangkin ….. Nakahinga ako ng maluwag at naglulumuhod sa pasasalamat sa nag iisang Dios na makapangyarihan at ikaw ay buhay Mark.Hindi kami mapapatawad ng tatay mo kung may nangyaring masama sa iyo…sir Bato at sa Angeles city PNP tanggapin po ninyo ang malalim na pasasalamat at pagsaludo ng Padilla Family sa propesyonal at makatao na paghuli kay Mark Anthony Fernandez… Alhamdulillah.”

Meanwhile, actress Lorna Tolentino also expressed her concern over how the police treated Mark Anthony.
Mark is the son of Rudy by actress Alma Moreno. When Lorna married Rudy, Mark Anthony was already around.
According to ABS-CBN News, Lorna had said Mark Anthony’s rights may have been violated when he was presented to members of the media after his arrest.
“Under the Republic Act No. 7438, or the Rights of Persons Arrested, Detained or under Custodial Investigation, ‘any person arrested detained or under custodial investigation shall at all times be assisted by counsel’,” ABS-CBN News reports.
