Not a lot of people know that Rita Avila has written books.

“Pope Francis, who will visit the Philippines next year, relayed his thanks to actress-author Avila for sending him copies of her books, The Invisible Wings and 8 Ways to Comfort with Grace,” reports Reyma Buan-Deveza on ABS-CBNnews.com.

The report noted: “Avila received a letter from Monsignor Peter B. Wells, an official of the Vatican Secretariat of State, expressing the Pope’s gratitude for the book she sent him.”

Avila wrote the books after her baby boy died of a heart condition in 2006.

Avila posted a photo of the letter conveying Pope Francis’ thanks to her.
