Fully vaccinated members of the “vulnerable population”—senior citizens, pregnant women, persons with disability, and persons with health risks—can once again enjoy Intramuros’ fresh air and get their blood pumping come October 30 as the Intramuros Administration opens their outdoor sites for exercise.

Those who fall in the abovementioned categories can enjoy two hours of exercise every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Fort Santiago and Baluarte de San Diego.

Interested fitness-goers can book an exclusive visit through an advance ticket reservation system here.

In a statement, tourism secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat said, “We wish to give our fellow Filipinos, especially those who belong to the vulnerable sector, a breathing, healing and comfortable space.”

“We see this as an opportunity for the vulnerable sector to enjoy the green spaces of Intramuros for their overall health and well-being,” she added.
