Piolo Pascual and Judy Ann Santos are together again! Well, sort of.
The two “reunited” as endorsers of financial service company Sun Life.
The two faced members of the press during the company’s Money for Life event at the ABS-CBN compound in Quezon City on Fri, Jul 22.
This is probably the first time Piolo and Judy Ann — one of showbiz’s most popular showbiz love teams during the late 1990s — worked together in a project since the movie Don’t Give Up on Us in 2006.
“She’s a big part of my career,” Piolo told reporters at the sidelines of the event. “We did a lot of movies and TV shows together. Napakalaki ng utang na loob ko kay Juday.”
(She’s a big part of my career. We did a lot of movies and TV shows together. I owe Judy a lot.)
Piolo, 39, said he is open and hoping to work with Judy Ann again — particularly in a movie, since working on a TV series would be difficult.
He also said: “Nakakatuwa because she’s still active in the business and so am I. So, sana we a chance to work together again some time soon.”
This should dispel persistent rumors that Piolo and Judy Ann are not in good terms since they stopped working together as a love team.
“We’ve always been okay. If there ever was a problem before, we were able to address and talk about it,” Piolo said.
He added, “Hindi naman pwedeng isantabi mo ‘yung relationship n’ýo, ‘yung pinagsamahan n’yo. So Juday and I, we’ve always been okay.”
(We can’t disregard our relationship, our past. So Juday and I, we’ve always been okay.)
We’ll definitely wait for that reunion. Make it happen, Star Cinema!
