Pia Wurtzbach’s wax figure is coming to Manila soon, people!

Madame Tussauds Hong Kong announced on its Instagram account yesterday that it will bring the former Miss Universe’s wax figure to the Philippines for a big reveal on March 29 in SM Megamall.

The museum announced last year that it will create a wax figure of Wurtzbach, making her the first Filipino to be featured in its Hong Kong outpost.

In their post yesterday, their caption reads: “It took months to make Pia Wurtzbach’s wax figure, but it’ll be only one more week before you get to see it in Manila!”

They also said that Wurtzbach herself will be at the event. “Mark your calendars because on March 29, the Queen herself is dropping by the SM MEGA Fashion Hall for the big reveal! See you there!”

The announcement thrilled Wurtzbach herself, who posted this comment to the announcement: “I can’t wait.”

She also shared Madame Tussauds’ announcement on her account’s Instagram Stories, where she wrote: “I can’t wait for this! I can’t believe I’m gonna be immortalized in Madame Tussauds!”

After it was announced last year that her wax figure was going to be featured in Madame Tussauds’ Hong Kong museum, Wurtzbach said she was thrilled when she learned about it.

“When I found out, I was so excited. I couldn’t believe it! In my head, this is something only happens to big stars,” she said.

Madame Tussauds said that they decided to feature Wurtzbach in Hong Kong to honor the Filipinos living and working in the city. According to the Philippines’ Department of Foreign Affairs, there are over 220,000 Filipinos residing in Hong Kong.

Wurtzbach’s fans are equally excited as she is to see her wax figure. One fan said she can’t wait.

Wurtzbach became the third Filipino to win the Miss Universe pageant when she was crowned in 2015 in Las Vegas. After her reign, she became a sought-after brand endorser, actress, and host. She’s currently the host of the Philippine franchise of the international dance show World of Dance.
