Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is beyond excited to work on her first major movie which will also star comedian Vice Ganda and “La Luna Sangre” actor Daniel Padilla.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News last Friday, Wurtzbach said she never imagined in her life that she will headline a movie with two of the country’s biggest stars.
“Noon, masayang masaya na ako kapag guest ako sa show ni Vice tulad noong bago ako sumali sa Miss Universe. Ngayon, makakatrabaho ko na siya sa isang movie tapos kasama ko pa si Daniel Padilla tapos directed by Joyce Bernal pa. Sobrang thankful ako,” she said.
(Before, I would be happy to guest on Vice’s show before i joined Miss Universe. Now, We’ll be working together on the movie and I’ll even be with Daniel Padilla and directed by Joyce Bernal. I’m really thankful)
Admitting that she is also nervous about the project, Wurtzbach takes comfort with the reassurance that Vice Ganda gave her.
“Medyo kinakabahan ako kasi first movie ko nga ito pero ni-reassure naman niya ako na masaya ito and hindi naman ako dapat kabahan at mag-e-enjoy ako sa movie na ‘to,” she said.
(I’m a bit nervous because it’s my first movie, but Vice reassured me that it would be fun and I shouldn’t be nervous, and to enjoy doing the film)
Wurtzbach said the comedian also promised that he will take care of her while they are filming.
Meanwhile, the third Filipina Miss Universe shared how she will prepare for her role in the still untitled Star Cinema movie.
“Kailangan ng acting workshop na. Balik gym na rin ako kasi superhero ako dito. Hindi puwedeng lalamya lamya. Pero nagawa ko na rin naman ‘yung mga ‘yun dati so excited ako,” she said.
(I need to do an acting workshop. I’ll have to go back to the gym too because I’m the superhero here. I can’t be too soft. I used to do this [act] often, so I’m excited.)
Wurtzbach, Vice Ganda and Padilla will start filming in three weeks.
