At the Miss Universe preliminary competition held Thursday at The Axis in Las Vegas, Bb. Pilipinas-Universe Pia Alonzo-Wurtzbach had everybody excitedly rooting for the Philippines.
She topped Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarette’s list of her 12 favorite contestants.
Navarrete tweeted her 12 picks, which also included Colombia, Dominican Republic, Vietnam, Peru, Chile, Brazil, USA, Venezuela, Australia, and Mexico.
For the swimsuit competition, Wurtzbach wore a black-and-white two-piece bikini that not only showed off her svelte figure but highlighted her silky morena glow, too.
In the evening gown competition meanwhile, her styling was impeccable. She wore her hair in a low bun, complementing the scoop neckline of her regal red dress.
It’s hard to believe that the Oliver Tolentino red dress was just a backup. According to PEP.ph, there were rumors that circulated on line saying the gown Wurtzbach was supposed to wear failed to arrive in Las Vegas on time, all thanks to typhoon Nona.
