IN PHOTOS: 7 not-so-hot red carpet looks from the 2016 Star Magic Ball

Every year, fans and netizens await with bated breath the fashion standouts from the Star Magic Ball.

But let’s get real: We’re also waiting for those who will make heads turn, but for all the wrong reasons.

This year’s Star Magic Ball, held at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel in Makati City on Sat, Oct 22, had several shining moments (Liza Soberano and Shaina Magdayao chief among them).

Some stars, didn’t quite shine.

Here are our seven not-so-favorite looks from the 10th Star Magic Ball.

1. Fifth Solomon

Why anyone would attend the Star Magic Ball in what amounts to formal pajamas and robe is beyond us. But at least Fifth Solomon does not look like anybody else at that party. He’s in his own lane, we’ll give him that.

2. Angelica Panganiban

Angelica’s shiny shapeless sack of a dress is working its hardest to make us forget that underneath all that, she has killer curves a million and one girls would die for.

3. Maja Salvador

Maja’s dress was fine. It was inoffensive. It was like a steaming bowl of rice — you’ll eat it, sure, but where’s the ulam? If she’d worn a fab bracelet, or maybe a fun necklce, this whole look wouldn’t have put us to sleep.

4. Xian Lim

Oh Xian, you can do so, so much better. To be fair, the white tuxedo and vest combo isn’t too bad. But we just can’t take him with that greasy hair, open collar, and inexplicable scruff.

5. Coleen Garcia

Help! A giant dead flower just ate Coleen Garcia! Oh wait, no, that’s just her gown. Maybe lesser “petals” would have worked better.

6. Alex Gonzaga

Alex Gonzaga looks like the prettiest bride at the mass wedding that the mayor is throwing. But with that fabulously svelte figure, Alex could have pulled off a gown that had more edge.

7. KZ Tandingan

It’s like KZ Tandigan went Goth at the Star Magic Ball. Perhaps, this would have worked in another setting.
