But in a sea of beauty, it’s inevitable that only a few will stand out at the 10th Star Magic Ball, held at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel in Makati City on Sat, Oct 22 (we’re looking at you, Liza Soberano). 

Here are our 12 favorite looks from the Star Magic Ball red carpet:

1. Liza Soberano

Do we even have to explain why? The 18-year-old actress stood out in her turquoise blue Michael Cinco gown.

2. Shaina Magdayao

Who needs a date when you look this good? Shaina looked like a natural on the red carpet, thanks to her black Popo Go gown. 

3. Arci Muñoz

High slit dresses were a thing during this year’s Star Magic Ball. Our favorite? Arci Munoz. Her blue Francis Libiran dress with a thigh-high slit and a plunging neckline shows the actress can be elegant and edgy at the same time.  

4. Kim Chiu

Kim Chiu is always a winner on the Star Magic Ball red carpet. This year is no different, with the actress wearing a beautiful Val Taguba gown. 

5. Erich Gonzales

The Be My Lady star is a picture of elegance in her Pepsi Herrera gown. It doesn’t hurt that her date, boyfriend Daniel Matsunaga, looks quites dapper, too!

6. Kathryn Bernardo

This year, Kathryn Bernardo is proving that she is maturing, both on the big screen and the red carpet. Her black, beaded Michael Cinco gown accompanied with a sparkling necklacce shows she is shedding her teeny bopper image for a more refined look.  

7. Jessy Mendiola

She’s not the sexiest woman of 2016 for nothing! Jessy Mendiola’s silk spaghetti-strapped black gown made by John Rulo is simple yet classy, and shows just enough of her curves to make her look oh so sexy

Ylona Garcia, wearing a Val Taguba ball gown, is one of our favorite young stars at this year’s Star Magic Ball. 

10. Gerald Anderson

Gerald Anderson can keep denying that he is not in a relationship with Bea Alonzo. But let’s be honest — he has never looked this good. His white Joey Espiritu tuxedo, accompanied by his black bowtie, is an inspired choice. Perhaps because he is inspired and in love?

11. Piolo Pascual

Oh, Piolo, you can never do wrong on the red carpet. He looks sleek and charming in his white Ivarluski Aseron suit.

12. Zanjoe Marudo

Zanjoe Marudo was named the ball’s best dressed male star, and rightfully so. He kept it simple and classic in his Lanvin suit. Who says you need to be in love to look good?
