PCSO doubles minimum bet on the Lotto

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office will be raising the minimum bets on the lotto to P20 from P10 so it can collect more money for doing good.

PCSO general manager Ferdinand Rojas II said the prizes for the Lotto 6/42 and Mega Lotto 6/45 will be higher anyway. The jackpot on Lotto 6/42 will be P6 million from P3 million while hitting the jackpot on the Mega Lotto 6/45 will mean a pay day of P9 million, up from P4.5 million.

He said in an Abante report that the changes in the Lotto system are meant to allow the PCSO to collect more funds for medical assistance and to buy ambulances for public hospitals.
