Pauleen Luna has always been a big supporter of her BFF, Pia Wurtzbach. She’s always posted photos and messages of support on Instagram, cheering Wurtzbach on for her Miss Universe endeavor.
When Wurtzbach finally won the Miss Universe crown on Monday, Pauleen once again took to Instagram to say just how proud she is of her best friend. It may be the sweetest and most sincere message we’ve read.
“You were 12 and I was 13. We had nothing but big dreams,” Pauleen began. She noted their humble beginnings, about sharing a role and eating a convenience store meal because they didn’t have a lot of money.
“I am equally proud of you before as I am proud of you now. You have just a good heart,” Pauleen continued.
On Tuesday, Pauleen offered the seventh day of simbang gabi as thanksgiving for Pia’s win. “Thank you Lord for answering one of my prayers. It’s still surreal that one of my best friends is our Miss Universe. I will never forget this moment Father! We are beyond grateful,” she wrote.
