The ABS-CBN TV series On the Wings of Love finally stopped serving “hopia” to its audience, and fans are rejoicing.
In the Sep 17 episode, Leah (Nadine Lustre) finally gets her US citizenship. She and Clark (James Reid) celebrate with a sweet kiss — the first real onscreen kiss between the two.
With two near-kisses and a string of romantic moments a few episodes ago, we say this is a nicely hyped-up event that sent fans crazy. And tweeting like mad.
#OTWOLMostApprovedKiss earned a whopping two million mentions on Twitter, topping the trending topics worldwide.
Alongside the tweets, many fans uploaded videos of their reactions on the ‘kilig-much’ episode — usually with much shrieking and teasing among viewers.
As though that wasn’t enough, ABS-CBN uploaded an outtake on YouTube showing raw video from the scene. It’s the first take of the ‘most approved kiss’, and Nadine ended up laughing because the camera dolly was making a lot of noise.
On Twitter, OTWOL director Tonet Jadaone thanked the fans for tuning in.
“Maraming salamat po. Kay sarap magtrabaho at magkwento kung may nanonood na parang mga tulad n’yo,” she wrote.
