1. Vicki Belo introduces baby daughter Scarlet Belo to social media
The celebrity doctor used social media to reveal that she and Hayden Kho are parents to baby Scarlet Snow. This is one of Scarlet Snow’s first photos to be posted online, and definitely not the last. Soon, we were all enamored by Scarlet Snow’s cuteness. Just look at those rosy cheeks!
2. Liza Soberano conquers the Star Magic Ball
We all know Liza Soberano is veery pretty. But the 18-year-old actress just had to remind us of this fact during the 2016 Star Magic Ball. And in her Instagram post hours after the event, Liza proved she is still the most stunning face in showbiz even if she sometimes try not to be.
3. Kris Aquino meets ex-husband James Yap’s girlfriend and newborn son
2016 has been an eventful year for Kris Aquino. But hands down, our photo with son Bimby and Michela Cazzola, the girlfriend of her ex-husband James Yap, has got to be our favorite among Kris’ many, many controversial Instagram posts. In the post, Kris wrote she reached out to James to ask if it would be okay for Bimby to meet his baby brother Michael James, the cager’s son with Michela. Love, love, love!
4. Ellen Adarna and Baste Duterte’s ‘kiss’
Showbiz has been light on scandal this year. So it’s understandable that there was a bit of buzz over a leaked photo showing President Rodrigo Duterte’s son and the ABS-CBN actress kissing. Ellen has refused to talk about the viral photo. She also hasn’t clarified her relationship with Baste. So are they an item? Is the kissing photo merely some sort of joke? Maybe we’ll find out next year.
5. Anne Curtis and Erwann Heussaff are engaged!
A lot (and we do mean a lot) of celebs got married and got engaged this year. So it’s fitting Anne revealed his engagement to long-time boyfriend Erwan before 2016 ended. We’ve been asking Anne for years when she will walk the aisle; her low key announcement of her engagement is a fitting answer to the showbiz press’ endless questions about her marital status.
6. Love, love, love for Pia Wurtzbach?
Thanks to Pia Wurtzbach and 2015 Miss Universe win, we’re all beauty pageant crazy this year. But this one sticks out: the reigning Miss U posted a photo with race car driver Marlon Stockinger, prompting speculations that they’re dating. It’s quite telling that amid our numerous beauty pageant achievements, what we’re really interested in is our beauty queen’s love life.
7. Jake Ejercito admits he is the father of Andi Eigenmann’s daughter Ellie
It’s the culmination of a years-old showbiz mystery. Jake Ejercito took to Instagram to sort of admit that he is the father of Ellie, the daughter of his ex-girlfriend Andi Eigenamann. Jake later admittedly that, yes, he is indeed Ellie’s father, but it is his very emotional letter to Ellie on Instagram that we’ll most likely remember about this issue years from now.
