Celebrities are safe from the war on drugs, for now.
National Capital Region Police Office director chief superintendent Oscar Albayalde said his office has not received reports of showbiz figures involved in the illegal drug trade.
This after celebrity radio DJ Karen Bordador and her boyfriend Emilio Lim were arrested after a buy-bust operation in Pasig City on Sat, Aug 13.

But Albayalde said they are monitoring high-end bars in Taguig City and Makati City “to end the rampant use of Ecstasy and other party drugs in such places,” reports Philippine Star.
The statement comes weeks after Ramon Tulfo wrote in his Philippine Daily Inquirer column that “an official of a TV network is hooked on cocaine.”
He also wrote that “at least two media or show biz personalities” are under surveillance due to illegal drug use.
