After more than a week of teasing, primetime series On the Wings of Love finally aired its “Most Kilig Night” episode.
It was every inch the romantic event fans have been hoping for.
The episode was such a hit, it garnered more than 1.6 million mentions on Twitter and its hashtag, #OTWOLMostKiligNight, got a spot in Twitter’s top trending topics during its telecast.
In the episode, Clark (James Reid) and Leah (Nadine Lustre) had so many chances to open up to each other as their car broke down in Napa Valley. It featured mushy scenes showing the pair getting more intimate, including two near-kiss moments.
The first time, the couple was interrupted by the people who helped them with their car problem. The second time they tried to liplock, someone shouted, “Hey this is a private property!” Bitin!
For OTWOL director Antoinette Jadaone, there are just things that are worth waiting for.
“Minsan, may mga bagay na kailangang hintayin nang matagal, para kapag makuha mo na sa wakas, mas masarap. WUW MEGANON.” she explained on her Twitter page as she urged fans to be more patient.
