Happy (belated) Valentine’s Day!
According to data released by US-based polling organization Gallup, the Philippines currently tops out at number one worldwide for being the country with the “most widespread feelings of love.” By coming in first place, the Philippines beat out such luminaries as Puerto Rico and Rwanda.
The Gallup survey, put together from 2006 – 2007, featured polling results from 136 countries. It is billed as “the most comprehensive global index of love ever created.” We’ll get back to you on whatever the hell that means.
All of this should be taken with a grain of salt. According to a story appearing on Yahoo News, a local survey recently indicated four out of five Pinoys reported having “no love life.” Awesome.
