Philippines adds more flights to Thailand

Yay for more opportunities to shop!

Rising tourism between Thailand and the Philippines have prompted both countries to increase flight entitlements by 27 percent to meet consumer demand.

Civil Aeronautics Board Executive Director Carmelo Arcilla said they have agreed to boost entitlements to Manila from 5,440 seats per week to 6,880 and increase the number of airlines that fly to Thailand.

Air Asia Philippines and Zest Airways have plans to open flights to Thailand while Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific have long established routes.

The expansion in flights between the Philippines and Thailand comes after Manila clinched a similar deal with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Interaksyon.com reported.
