After bringing honor to the Philippines by placing second at the recent 2012 Miss Universe beauty pageant, Janine Tugonon has expectedly been getting a lot of supportive and congratulatory tweets. But believe it or not, she’s also been receiving some nasty comments from haters. This she revealed when she was a guest on the ANC show “Headstart.”
“Minsan may nababasa akong negative na, ‘yun nga, clapper lang daw ako,” she said. “Tapos buti raw hindi ako ‘yung nanalo, mayroon pa na hindi pang-beauty queen. Mga sobrang negative talaga.”
But Janine knows the right thing to do: just ignore these nega comments. In fact she suggests for other beauty queens to do the same. “Ipapayo ko talaga sa magiging next Miss Universe Philippines na huwag na magbasa kahit kelan ng comments. Hindi na siya kailangan. Hindi siya nakakatulong sa kahit kaninong tao. Positive na lang parati tayo,” she said.
