Why the hell would a beauty queen dance Psy’s “Gangnam Style”?
There’s a good reason: to campaign against firecrackers this New Year’s.
According to a “Balitanghali” news report, Janine was in Pandacan today to try to convince people not to use firecrackers this Dec. 31 – by dancing the “Gangnam Style” dance steps.
Other members and supporters of the Department of Health also went around Pandacan and distributed flyers, torotot, and other noise-makers made from recycled materials.
Janine said, “Please po, please iwas na po tayo sa paputok ngayong bagong taon. Dapat po kumpleto ang lahat ng bahagi ng katawan natin ngayong bagong taon at hanggang matapos ang bagong taon diba? So pangalagaan po natin ang ating mga pamilya, ang ating sarili, so iwasan po natin ang paptuok.”
