Actor Baron Geisler, who recently punched a neighbor, was neither drunk nor high on drugs during the incident, according to his manager Arnold Vegafria.
Vegafria told Inquirer that the reason behind the actor’s behavior is he’s suffering from bipolar disorder. Because of this, he is “very sensitive and prone to drastic mood swings.” He added that after asking for permission from Geisler’s family, he is sharing this information so that the public will “understand what he is going through.”
Raymundo de la Rosa, the neighbor that Geisler punched in the face and kicked in the abdomen, was supposed to sue Geisler for malicious mischief and physical injuries, but he withdrew the complaints. He originally planned to sue for child abuse because his child witnessed the incident and got traumatized.
Geisler’s manager said that his talent also got bruises after the incident. Geisler tested positive for alcohol but both Vegafria and Geisler’s brother Donnie claim the actor really wasn’t drunk.
Donnie said that the “simple misunderstanding” just got sensationalized and that “the issue has been settled amicably.”
However, it looks like the damage has been done – on Geisler’s image. Incidentally, he has an upcoming endorsement deal with Liveraide, a health supplement.
