GMA 7 just announced their new shows for the rest of 2015 — and a lot of them sound interesting!
Apart from the new Marimar adaptation starring Megan Young and Tom Rodriguez, the Kapuso network will also reunite former lovers Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado in a series called My Faithful Husband, which will be about a husband picking up the pieces after his wife cheats on him.
Television writer Suzette Doctolero is behind this; known for the local adaptation of Temptation of Wife, plus My Husband’s Lover and The Rich Man’s Daughter, Suzette has been responsible for a lot of the channel’s controversial and successful shows recently.
Andre Paras and Barbie Forteza, first paired in The Half Sisters, will have a romantic comedy show called Drunk in Love, where they play lovers from families that don’t like each other. A modern Romeo and Juliet perhaps?
Bianca Umali and Miguel Tanfelix are also reuniting after Once Upon a Kiss. In Womb for Hire, the two will play friends who will experience challenges when Bianca becomes, well, a womb for hire.
Carla Abellana will also have more exposure this year through the show Little Mommy. She will be joined by young stars Jillian Ward and Chlaui Mercado. The show will be about an intellectually-challenged mother.
