Parokya ni Edgar frontman and wife Neri Naig announced last month that they’re expecting their little bundle of joy, but some are asking Neri how she revealed the news to her rockstar husband.
In her newly established blog, Neri shared her failed but still adorable surprise to tell Chito about her pregnancy. She posted a teaser on Instagram:
Neri writes on Instagram, “Paano ko ba sinabi kay Chito na buntis na ako?” (How did I tell Chito that I’m pregnant)
A more detailed story was published on her blog, which reads:
“Hindi talaga ako mapakali sa room namin nun nung nalaman ko na pregnant na ako. Iniisip ko kung sabihin ko na lang ba sa Father’s day kaso maghihintay pa ako ng tatlong buwan para sabihin kaso obvious naman na nun kase malaki na siguro tyan ko nun… Pero gustong gusto ko nang sabihin sa asawa ko talaga kaya I decided na i-surprise siya…
(I was restless in our room when I found out I’m pregnant. I thought of telling Chito on Father’s day, but that would mean waiting for three months before tellhing him. I really wanted to tell him right away so I decided to surprise him.)
“Kaya I decided na mag-drawing gamit ang pink lipstick sa mirror namin sa sink… Ang tagal kong hinintay na magising siya… Nung nagising na siya, di niya agad napansin! Natawa na lang ako at tinanong kung nagustuhan niya ba yung dinorowing ko, sabi nya, “Anong drawing?”. Hindi pala niya nakita yung nasa mirror.”
(So decided on our bathroon mirror using a pink lipstick. I waited for a long time for Chito to wake up. Even he finally did wake up, he didn’t notice the drawing! I laughed and asked if he liked my drawing. He said, ‘What drawing?’)
Even if her surprise drawing failed, we’re sure they’re super excited for their little one!
“Nagdadasal kami ng asawa ko at nagpapasalamat sa mga blessings na binibigay ni God sa amin,” Neri wrote.
