“If you participate in the world of social media, I think you shouldn’t be so sensitive.”
This was what Senator Nancy Binay said after finding out that singer Jim Paredes got a death threat via Twitter after he criticized Vice President Jejomar Binay.

“Senator Binay said her family does not know the person who threatened Paredes and that they have nothing to do with the tweet,” reports Ryan Chua on ABS-CBNnews.com.
The report noted: “Paredes has filed a complaint before the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Division against a certain Rex Vincent Tecson, who tweeted that the singer would be ‘salvaged’ or killed because of his tweets against Vice President Jejomar Binay.”
For the record, Paredes already said that he believed that the person who threatened him was acting on his own. He added that he wasn’t going to associate Tecson with any politician.
