There were rumors not so long ago that the phenomenal TV series My Husband’s Lover would have a Book 2; there were also reports that instead of a part 2, there would be a movie. But how true are these rumors considering Dominic Zapata, the director of the show, is busy with the sitcom Ismol Family?
Dominic clarified with Rommel Gonzales that there won’t be any MHL movie. He also revealed that while he is not authorized to say so, “nothing is final yet.” He shared that there won’t be a Book 2 soon, “pero we’re not closing the doors.”
The director recalled that when the show was aired, a lot of people outed themselves to him through SMS. “I felt like I was no longer involved in entertainment; I was in the business of touching lives. For me, that puts things into perspective as an artist Bihirang-bihira mangyari sa’yo yun eh. So If I was able to touch some lives for a run of a few months, maybe I could touch more lives. What I’m trying to say is that MHL would be a great venue for the LGBT. Ayoko naman yung isa lang siya tapos natapos na.”
