K-pop group Momoland yesterday announced that it is coming to the Philippines this August 18.
Members Nancy McDonie, Daisy Yoo, and Lee Ahin made the announcement via their Facebook live session, making the country the first stop in their tour.
“Of course we want to meet all of our viewers all over the world, but this time we have an opportunity to [go to] the Philippines. So we are so happy to meet all our Philippine [fans],” said McDonie.
Said Yoo: “We were always aware there were a lot of you guys in the Philippines. There are a lot from all around the world but there is like a lot of people that are mentioning ‘Oh come to the Philippines, come to the Philippines!’”
She continued, “We thought that it would be great to go and visit the Philippines!”
The girls aren’t sure what they’ll be doing here, however. “We don’t know yet,” said Yoo.
“We will give you an announcement when we know,” said Lee.
Watch the video below. They announce their visit at the 9:49 mark.
The girls also announced that they will make a comeback on June 26 with the release of their mini-album Fun to the World, which includes their new song Baam. The girls described it as a “dancy, flighty song.”
Baam‘s video includes a shot of the girls dancing in front of a backdrop where images of jeepneys and Philippine flags were projected.
