Singer-dancer and now blogger Mocha Uson has been appointed as board member of the Movie Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).
This was confirmed by Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, who said Mocha was appointed on Tue, Jan 3.
According to Alexis Romero of the Philippine Star, Andanar said Mocha is one of the biggest artists in the country who has been n show business for over a decade.

According to Nestor Corales of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, MTRCB chair Toto Villareal has “already received Uson’s appointment.”
“The MTRCB received recently a copy of Ms Uson’s appointment letter signed by the President; but she has yet to assume office in the agency,” the Inquirer quotes Villareal as to saying.
Mocha Uson (real name Margaux Uson) entered showbiz via the all-girl group Mocha Girls. But she recently shot to fame via her Facebook blog, Mocha Uson Blog, where she has expresses her support for President Rodrigo Duterte. She also appeared in a handful of movies, including Mga Alaala ng Tag-ulan and Four Sisters and a Wedding.
Last month, Mocha was named ambassador of the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival.
