TV host Laura Lehmann was named Miss World Philippines 2017 during yesterday’s coronations night at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

The former Ateneo de Manila University UAAP courtside reporter and 2014 Binibining Pilipinas 1st runner up won against 34 other contestants.
Lehmann was awarded by last year’s Miss World Philippines winner Catriona Gray and Puerto Rico’s Stephanie del Valle who was named Miss World 2016.
Last night’s event also crowned three other women including Teresita Ssen Winwyn Marquez as Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas, Sophia Senoron as Miss Multinational Philippines, and Cynthia Thomalla as Miss Eco Philippines.
Glyssa Perez and Zara Carbonell were named first and second runners up respectively.
Lehmann will be representing the Philippines in this year’s Miss World competition to be held in Sanya, China. The last time the Philippines won in the Miss World competition was in 2013 when Megan Young took home the crown.
