Melai Cantiveros turned emotional she talked about husband Jason Francisco during the Fri, Jul 29 episode of the ABS-CBN morning show Magandang Buhay.
On Wed, Jul 27, Jason revealed in a series of Instagram posts that he and Melai have separated after three years of marriage.
Jason said their misunderstanding started when Melai accepted the TV series We Will Survive. Jason was reportedly uncomfortable about Melai’s character being paired off with Carlo Aquino’s character in the series. He said he himself didn’t want to be paired off with anyone else.

Melai, 28, seems determined to fight for their love amid their marital problems.
The comedienne — who was trying to hold back her tears while talking to co-hosts Jolina Magdangal and Karla Estrada — said her greatest love is her destiny. And her destiny is her husband, Jason.
“Yung greatest love ko ay yung destiny ko. Yung destiny ko, yun ang asawa ko,” she said.
Melai also described Jason as her “forever,” and she is going to fight for him no matter what problems they face.
“Kahit ano mang problema ang dumating, paglalaban yan. Kasi siya ang forever ko,” she said. “Because forever is a choice, and I choose my forever.”
ABS-CBN News Online reported on Thu, Jul 28 that Melai is indeed determined to iron out their marital problems, according to an unnamed source.
