After all the rumors, the Kapuso star has finally confirmed that he is already a father, through an interview aired in StarTalk yesterday, Feb. 24. He shared that “she’s a girl, three months old” and that she is named Ada, meaning first baby girl. Mark also revealed that he is not living together with the child’s mother, who is five years older than him (she is 32, he is 27), but that they talk to make sure everything is all right with Ada.
Another juicy revelation from Mark is that she cheated on ex-girlfriend Ynna Asistio; Ada was conceived while they were still together.
“Alam ko yung pagkakamali ko,” he told StarTalk host Butch Francisco and Ricky Lo. “I said sorry to her, to her family, alam ko yung nagawa ko na mali. Alam kong malaking kasalanan yung nagawa ko. Pero andyan na yung baby eh. Hindi naman puwedeng sabihin na kalimutan ko yung baby, piliin ko sila, di ba? Dugo ko yung bata, anak ko po yun, ako yung daddy.”
Why only now? Mark admitted that he did deny at first but he grew tired of it. “I’m very proud of Ada dahil siya po ang aking first baby girl,” he said, adding that he wants to put an end to all the questions.
His confession got an outpour of support from colleagues. Artists like Maricris Garcia, Sef Cadayona, Rocco Nacino, Yasmien Kurdi, Stevenn Silva, Alden Richards, Gian Magdangal, and Enzo Pineda tweeted their support by using the hashtag #ProudofyouMark.
Sure takes balls to admit something like that. We salute Mark for manning up and promising to focus on being the best father he could be to Ada.
