Mariel Rodriguez, who is currently pregnant, revealed in a Facebook post on Tue, Jun 14, that she rushed herself to the hospital after experiencing pain in her abdomen.
But don’t worry: the TV host said her baby is “doing good” after the incident.
“I rushed myself at the hospital thinking something was wrong,” she wrote. “I thought it could be gas, UTI or, worse, contractions.”
But it turned out, she said, that “my baby is just really playful. It was the baby’s movements i was feeling!”
Mariel, 31, recently went on a trip to Amsterdam with husband Robin Padilla. She said she let negative comments about traveling despite being pregnant affect her.
“Too much negativity,” she said. “Truth is, I won’t do anything that would harm my baby and I’m not going to let comments affect me anymore.”
“I am sensitive, hormonal and paranoid as it is what I need from people… their prayers, not unsolicited advice,” Mariel added.
The TV host also hinted that she may take leave from the ABS-CBN afternoon variety show It’s Showtime to “enjoy” her pregnancy.
“There is no need to worry because we are doing fabulous,” Mariel said. “Got a strong baby here… just like daddy.”
Mariel suffered from two miscarriages last year, so it’s understandable if she’s extra careful this time.
On her Instagram account, Mariel thanked Robin for taking care for her and understanding her delicate situation during their vacation in Amsterdam.
