It’s game day! Watch the UAAP Season 80 opening ceremony

Date: Sept. 9, Saturday
Venue: Mall of Asia Arena (0r you’re living room)
The new University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) season starts this weekend which means you get to cheer on your team all over again. First up for men’s basketball is the University of the East Red Warriors vs. National University Bulldogs game followed by the Ateneo Blue Eagles vs. Adamson University Falcons.
Try to catch the opening ceremony and the first two games at the Mall of Asia Arena but if you can’t get tickets, just tune in to ABS-CBN Sports & Action. You might even want to prep some game day grub.
Bask in all things anime when you go to the Best of Anime convention

Date: Sept. 9 – 10 (Saturday – Sunday)
Venue: SMX Convention Center
The SMX Convention Center will be transformed into an anime haven this coming Saturday and Sunday during the 8th annual Best of Anime convention. There’s going to be a cosplay competition, a dubbing workshop, and cosplay making and makeup workshops.
You can also catch Japanese rock band Spyair perform during the event on Sunday.
