Venue: 600 participating stores nationwide

Whoo! Weekends can start early this coming month: restaurants under the Max’s Group of restaurant chains will be doing this special “All-You-Can-Eat Wednesdays” offer throughout June.

For PHP349 (US$6.63), you can get your fill of either Max’s fried chicken, Pancake House’s tacos, Yellow Cab’s Hawaiian or cheese pizza, or Krispy Kreme’s original glazed donut and coffee.

Other participating establishments include Jamba Juice, Dencio’s, Teriyaki Boy, and Sizzlin’ Steak.

The promo starts at 2pm and will last until closing time for most of the 600 participating outlets nationwide except Yellow Cab stores, which will have it available throughout its opening hours.

Customers are given two hours to eat to their hearts’ content.

Catch a YouTube-famous band perform live

Date: June 1, Friday
Venue: Araneta Coliseum, General Roxas Ave., Cubao, Quezon City

Those who have been listening to Boyce Avenue on YouTube since the mid-2000s have another chance to catch them live in Manila during their show at the Araneta Coliseum this Friday.

The trio famous for acoustic covers of pop songs like Miley Cyrus’ We Can’t Stop and Bruno Mars’ When I Was Your Man will be performing alongside local pop star Moira, who sang Titibo-Tibo, the winning song in last year’s Himig Handog songwriting contest.

Filipinos love singing covers of pop music, so it’s no wonder Boyce Avenue frequently visits the country. They were first here in 2009 and have been back several times since then.

Here’s the band’s latest video on YouTube, a rendition of Lionel Richie’s Hello.

Date:  June 3, Sunday

Color Manila is known for regularly holding themed fun runs. This time around, though, they’re doing something for those who want to have a little bit more action.

CM Challenge Manila combines 20 challenges in a 5-kilometer obstacle course and, of course, the colorful powdered paint Color Manila events have been known for.

It’s like a race, obstacle course, and color festival rolled into one.

Tickets are priced at PHP1,500 (US$28.51) for a single entry tag, or PHP2,500 (US$47.51) for an unlimited entry tag. Discounts are also available for those who buy in groups.
