Our Fil-Am bet, Malaya Watson, was voted out of American Idol last Friday. Boo!
Together with Malaya in the bottom two was CJ Harris, who is a regular in that department, but didn’t get eliminated because of a great cover of “Free Fallin” last week. On the other hand, Malaya’s version of Chaka Khan’s “Through the Fire” got mixed reviews.
Malaya, a favorite of the judges and America because of her kooky personality and powerful pipes, could have been saved but the judges already used the Save option on the cutie Sam Woolf, who was supposed to exit the show last week.
Good thing Malaya made it to Top 8, meaning we will still see her on the finale, plus she’s gonna be part of the Idol Tour, as well, which should reach our shores after the whole competition.
