A new day, a new celebrity rant on Instagram.
After Angelica Panganiban, Rica Peralejo, and Luis Manzano, it’s now comedienne-actress Ai-Ai delas Alas’ turn to vent online.
Ai-Ai recently uploaded a photo of some food she ordered at a restaurant in New York. In her caption, Ai-Ai claimed she felt insulted that the waitress had to question her ability to finish — and pay for — her food.
“Gutom na gutom ako, hindi ako nag-dinner. Yung waitress, feelingera, na ang dami ko daw kakainin. Sabi ko, madami akong pambayad,” she wrote.
The 50-year-old PinaSaya host admitted she didn’t glam up for meal time, but added the hashtag #dontjudgeabookbyitscover in her entry.
“Napakadami kong in-order. E, hindi ako nakaayos. Feeling siguro nila, wala akong pambayad,” she said.
Her followers, who tried to get more context on the incident, were divided on the issue. Ai-Ai indulged one Instagram user, though, as she somehow clarified what the waitress actually told her.
Ai-Ai, who did not name the restaurant, said she called the attention of the restaurant’s owner to properly address the incident.
“Na-chika ko tuloy [ang] may-ari. Italiano. Ang saya mag-Italian,” she said facetiously.
The image was posted 3 days ago, when Ai-Ai was in New York for GMA Pinoy TV’s special concert.
