He made patriotic fashionistas proud. Now, he’s about to make them very happy.
Dubai-based Filipino fashion designer Michael Cinco who reportedly got a standing ovation during his debut at the Haute Couture Week in Paris collaborated with British collective Couturissimo for dresses and gowns that are, relative speaking, available at a friendly price.
Cinco’s ready-to-wear creations are at about USD300 (PHP13,500) — still pricey, but way, way less than how much other designer pieces would cost.
According to the Couturissimo website, “The Sienna”, worn by model Winnie Harlow at the show only costs USD290 (about 13,050)
The knee-lenth dress on the right called “The Monet” is also at USD290. The full mini-dress on the left called “The Sagan” is a bit priceier at USD449 (PHP 20,205)
This pretty knee-length dress with a floral design called “The Dana” is at USD 439 (PHP19,755)
The more intricate pieces are not available on the Couturissimo website, perhaps because they cost more. We completely understand why. Look at that level of detail!
Congratulations, Michael Cinco!
Thank you for making us proud and for not being profit–hungry!
