Today, Nov 5, is the first death anniversary of the love of KC Concepcion’s life. Her grandmother, Elaine Gamboa-Cuneta passed away from internal bleeding and complications from an abdominal surgery a year ago. She was 79 years old.

It was KC who announced the sad news via Twitter last year, and this year, the self-confessed lola’s girl pays tribute to “the love of her life” on Instagram.

“She was feisty, funny, strong, wise, fun, and always wanted everyone to enjoy life and each other,” a portion of KC’s caption reads.

“May you touch the lives of your own loved ones, as Mita has ours — especially mine,” her heartwarming caption ends.

Hello, November. Today (last year) is the day i faced my biggest fear. I lost the love of my life, my grandma, Mita Elaine. She was feisty, funny, strong, wise, fun and always wanted everyone to enjoy life and each other. Her love for life is still contagious. She asked me to pursue acting, film & TV life, so that she could have something to watch, to look forward to. She would be the first one in the cinema for premiere nights, first one up & dressed for gatherings, events & reunions. I don’t remember her only on special days. She is part of me. She is alive, in me, for always. May you touch the lives of your own loved ones, as Mita has ours- especially mine. #AmorePerSempre #ILoveYouMita #ElaineGamboaCuneta #GoGirl #RestInParadise
