GMA finally revealed the cast of their Encantadia reboot earlier this week.
Now, the network has released the conceptual art for the costume designs of their much-awaited fantasy show.
According to Encantadia lead visual artist Noel Flores, the four sang’gres will get more than one armor design as the show progresses. Their weapons even get to have names this time! Check them out:
PIRENA (Glaiza de Castro)
“(Pirena’s look) follows the silhouette of the old design but carries the new texture that is identifiable to the new Lireo culture,” Flores said.
AMIHAN (Kylie Padilla)
“This is a nod to #Amihan’s 2005 look. One of Eight iterations of the diwata,” Flores said.
ALENA (Gabbi Garcia)
“This is one of four armor designs that will be used through out the series. And Alena has a new weapon – a Pilum named, AGOS,” Flores said.
DANAYA (Sanya Lopez)
“The odd one of the four sister. She carries a different texture. This is one of Eight of Danaya’s character level-ups,” Flores said.
Expect more changes in the Encantadia reboot.
Director Mark Reyes said in previous interview that this reiteration of the fantasy show is not a remake but a “retelling,” noting that there will be changes in the show’s story.
We can’t wait for the show to finally air later this year!
