Forget old-fashioned coloring books. If you want to unleash your kid’s imagination, let BenCab help.
National Artist Benedicto “BenCab” Cabrera, who also has a museum housing works in Asin Road in Baguio, is set to launch a children’s activity book project as part of a yearlong celebration of his 50 years as an artist.
BenCab Activity Book for Children: Imagine, Play, Color, Learn, written by Karen Joy Desamparado-Foronda, a child development professional and teacher, will showcase more than 20 coloring, drawing and thinking activities, inspired by the artworks of the master.
It’s perfect for kids aged six to 10 years old who are into coloring, word search, writing and other activities. We guess it’s also ideal for young professionals who want to de-stress.
The book also aims to introduce the concepts of nationalism, environment, gender and art appreciation to its young readers, hopefully to help turn them into well-rounded adults.
The book was completed in partnership with Center for Art, New Ventures and Sustainable Development, reports Philippine Daily Inquirer.
The book will also be distributed to underprivileged children as part of the “One Million Books for One Million Filipino Children” campaign.
