BTS are more than just letters.

For K-pop fans, it’s the name of the seven-member boy band sensation best known for hits such as “Am I Wrong” and “Not Today.” As most millennials know, BTS can also mean “behind the scenes.”

Local showbiz goddess Liza Soberano is facing backlash from K-pop fans after tweeting a seemingly innocent question about BTS.

“BTS as in behind the scenes?” the teen queen asked on a post that has reached more than 41,000 likes.

There were BTS fans who took the question as an insult. A Twitter user called Soberano a “popular ghost” because of her tweet. Many found it difficult to believe that she has not heard of the group.

Other fans took it as a blessing that the teen beauty isn’t interested in the members of the band.

“This tweet just made PH ARMYs very happy. Thank God, you don’t know them. Deym, fangirls now have higher chances,” said BTS fan Jihan.

As you may recall, Soberano famously caught the attention of international artists such as Charley Puth and James Mcvey of The Vamps when they performed in Manila.

Soberano’s next tweet seems to be a reaction to the insults she got.

“People wouldnt know sarcasm even if it slapped them right in the face,” Liza said.

BTS, as in the Korean group, was in the Philippines for a two-day concert at SM MOA Arena over the weekend.

If you’re in the mood for a bit of K-pop this afternoon, you can grove to this.
