I am your father.
Julian, the firstborn son of The Beatles’ John Lennon, is in Manila for a visit and he recently stumbled upon a familiar juice bar. Not because he’s tried it before, no sir. But because its name is very familiar.
In an Instagram post on Saturday, the singer-songwriter and environmentalist posted a photo of a juice stand with the name “Johnn Lemon.” Yes, with a double “n.”
Julian casually took a side-selfie at the location while a customer ordered something from the stall.
The “Because” singer only mustered the strength to wonder about the juice stand with his Instagram caption: “Hmmm…”

In a separate Instagram photo posted the same day, Julian shared a photo of his iced lemon drink and used an emoji covering its mouth as the post’s caption.

Sean Ono Lennon, Julian’s half-brother, commented on the post and said: “So that’s where we’re from!”
Julian replied in jest: “I’ve been meaning to tell you, just hasn’t been the right time…”
Ah, brotherly love. Julian is the son of the late Cynthia Lennon (John’s first wife), while Sean is the son of artist Yoko Ono (John’s second wife).

Fans who saw the post were quick to jump on the whole thing.
Instagram user @lvittori71 referenced John’s “Imagine” and commented on Julian’s post: “Imagine all the lemons, juicing everyday.”

@mark_fox_music tagged a friend and made a witty joke referencing the names of band members Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, as well as Ono.
“I’d like Onion Ringos, a Big McCartney with cheese, Diet Yoko and a Harrison meal for the kids,” he said.

@dzaneh1 said: “[H]ope ya got a free one.”

@thechigirlrules sarcastically said: “I don’t get it. Who is Johnn Lemon?”

Julian was invited by the Philippine Department of Tourism to visit the country for its sustainability campaign, ABS-CBN News reported.
Based on his Instagram posts, the film producer cruised in style riding a bamboo bicycle at the walled city of Intramuros in Manila.
He also chilled at paradise island Boracay in Aklan province yesterday.

While Julian looks like he’s enjoying his stay in the country, his dad didn’t have such a wonderful experience the first and last time he was in Manila. In July 1966, The Beatles came to the Philippines to perform two concerts in one day during the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos’ regime.
Their stay in Manila went well until they unknowingly snubbed then First Lady Imelda Marcos’ invitation at an official function at the Malacañang Palace on the same day of their two concerts, which allegedly offended Imelda.
Upon arriving at the Manila airport the next day as they were about to leave, the band reportedly had to carry their heavy equipment and climb deactivated escalators, Interaksyon reported. An angry crowd also mobbed their entourage and caused injury.
It was then that The Beatles vowed never to return to the Philippines. Thanks for giving us a second chance, Julian!
