Karan Singhdole, a 23-year-old hotel and restaurant management student from Sta Rosa, Laguna, bagged the top prize in the first-ever Man of the Year pageant, held in Pekanbaru, Indonesia from Aug 13 to 22..
The 6’2” hottie, son of Indian immigrants, was born and raised in the Philippines. He is fluent in five languages: Filipino, English, Punjabi, Bengali and Hindi.
If he looks familiar, that’s because you’ve already seen him in your dreams, or as a model for brands like Globe Telecom and Bench.
He was also a semifinalist in “You’re My Foreignoy,” a competition for foreigners living in the Philippines, on television show Eat Bulaga.
Organizers of the Man of the Year contest look for the the man who possesses the five “M”s: masterly, mindful, manly, masculine and modern.
Karan beat Mister Lebanon (second place), Mister Netherlands (third place), Mister Vietnam (fourth place) and Mister Indonesia (fifth place).
