The Prince of R&B was kind of forced to open a joint account with the mother of his child, one-year old Katie, after Katrina told him that it’s a requirement for couples in the Philippines. She explained to him that here in the country, the guy gives the girl whatever it is that he earns. “It was kind of hard to swallow,” Kris shared with Pep.ph, explaining that it’s “kanya-kanya” in the US “as long as you can take care of the baby.”
But he’s now perfectly fine with the concept since he is in the Philippines and has to understand and follow the culture here. He added that Katrina has matured a lot ever since they had a baby so he’s very willing to entrust his earnings to her through a joint account.
