Hollywood, are you ready for her?
TV host and actress Kris Aquino tells her millions of Instagram followers that she is heading to Hollywood to sign a contract for a movie project.
This may be her biggest comeback yet.
The so-called Queen of all Philippine media had a pretty difficult year in the biz. She said the rejections she experienced in the past year broke her spirit.
“There were 2 shows I lost because hiring an Aquino for TV was a political risk not worth taking,” she wrote in her caption.
Aquino shared that she was tapped by Tony & Grammy award winning Broadway producer Jhett Tolentino, who was helping his agent friend reach her to ask if she’d want to audition for a “big Hollywood studio.”
You can say what you want about her, but Kris Aquino is Kris Aquino… and she does have a way of getting things done.
She came up with an audition reel (shot in Manila Peninsula!) in just 48 hours.
Surprise, surprise… she managed to charm the right people with her sorcery.
“I passed 5 levels of intense scrutiny and was offered a role. It is surreal to be reading the script from a major Hollywood studio watermarked on every page with my name,” Aquino wrote.
Aquino flew to Los Angeles Sunday night. She added that she can’t reveal the details of the project just yet because of a non-disclosure agreement.
